Terms of use

Free to use

Learn Arduino is free to use for learning, at home or in class. There is nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for.

It is a simulator

Learn Arduino shows how a circuit and a program behave using a model on your screen. The model is simplified: real parts differ in small ways, so always check a data sheet before you build the real thing.

Stay safe with real electronics

Only ever use low-voltage batteries or a computer's USB power for the projects you learn here. Never connect anything you build to the mains. Young learners should build real circuits with a grown-up.

As is

The app is provided as it is, without promises that it is free of mistakes or will always be available. We are not responsible for damage that comes from building a real circuit from what you saw here.

Other people's work

Learn Arduino includes open-source parts. The board layout is based on the Arduino UNO Rev3 design files (CC BY-SA 4.0). The compiler is GNU GCC and binutils (GPL 3); its source code is public. The full list with licence texts is under About in the app. "Arduino" is a trademark of its owner; Learn Arduino is an independent project and is not made or endorsed by them.
